Not much choice out there, so pretty goodDec 17, 2009
By Brian Dowrick These sticks are great for training, but not as good as they could be. The issue is the PVC pipe they use as a core. It should be stronger. Several times we had to replace the core with PVC tubing we got at the local hardware store. I found that if you take the gray PVC pipes used for watering systems, you will have a much more useful stick. With that, you can hit as hard as you want and not break the sticks, and you can do disarming, as well as stick assisted control holds. With the core it comes with, the tube bends, and breaks with any real force is placed on the stick. If you are tapping lightly, and not doing disarming, then these are perfect. I like the replacement cores we put in, to still train safely, but allow us to do more advanced techniques.

GreatJun 15, 2009
By K. Kelleher They are excellent for sparring and let both people know when you make a hit without leaving a mark. They have a good weight and feel. Could do without the dragon inked on them in gold, but it is already beginning to wear off with use.

By ROLLING STRONG This very good for those who want to really swing & swing again and again without banging up their knees or head or breaking something it works great
Safe enoughNov 26, 2012
By DAVID THOMPSON I was really hoping for a little more padding and a little less thwacking so we could practice actual hits with less chance of injury. While these are padded, they are still very rigid and do hurt, though not like getting hit with wooden sticks. I also had difficulty peeling the big gold stickers off them, which tore the padding as they came off.
