It's much more better than the picture and shipping was good it came within a few days even though I used free shipping. Like I said its decorations are good and its held well in the few fights its been in so far its grip is easier because of decorations as well this not just for show it can hold its own in a fight are training session.

I like this staff. It is great for training. You could probably defend yourself with it. It has a nice feel and it came in the mail within a week. Actually less but that's Amazon for you. If you want a great beginning staff that will last this is it. The decorations are better than the appear in the picture. I originally bought this to practice Aikido jo techniques with but I think I will be able to do much more than that.

My husband and I bought this Bo Staff as a Christmas gift for our 14 year old son. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the quality of the wood and beauty of the carving. We were expecting a cheap product for such a low price but what we got was a very high quality gift that our son will treasure fr years! Thank you!

Other reviews are right about the engraved design. It looks alot better out of the cardboard cylinder than in its photo. I guess the center of the design is either a flower or the sun. Two semetrical dargons coil around the jo the same way. It seems strong and sturdy and it has a finnish to it. Well worth the cheep price.
