Smooth, Straight, and UniformJul 13, 2009

This was my first purchase of a hardwood staff. It's unforgiving when you crack your head or face in the middle of a new technique but the quality is very good and you will have no risk for splinters.
This is not for the feeble - this is a heavy staff for artists looking to build strength in striking and transitioning.
Good overall choice.
