got these sticks a few years ago and they work alright. the "stain" is actually paint that wears off when you use them - i ended up sanding mine down and adding an actual stain to them.

I made two orders of two separate sticks. The pair of sticks I ordered arrived very quickly, and to my surprise included a great black and red carrying case for escrima sticks. So far I have been practicing with the pair of these sticks and they are light and great for training ; at least for now no signs of cracks or breaking for the moment. I will be buying another pair for my friend also interested in learning escrima and definitely from this seller.

Been doing balintawak for a year now the stick is really light wouldn't be good for contact practice but great for demonstration. I got it because it was my collage color.

These are some awesome sticks. They look great. I don't like that you have to buy them separately, and the ones I ordered were of severely different weight, but I've heard that this is normal for Rattan. I'm extremely excited to take them to practice next week.

The stick is sturdy enough, but had some splinters, and the hard to remove sticker with a "cancerous materials" warning was disconcerting. I don't particularly like the feel of the paint job either.
